Adult Poodles Available Updated: 03/10/2010
She will also come up to me and poking me with her long muzzle.
Poke, poke.... "Here I am! Hug ME! I am special!"
An experienced family or someone willing to learn about working with a puppy mill dog will be needed.
For example: being picked up means time to get lots of love, kisses and hugs
(which she really enjoys) instead of being hurt and rejected.
Also included in her $250.00 adoption fee is a kennel, 1 month supply of dog food, a leash and collar, a new soft bed, various toys and information about puppy mill dogs to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward. A fenced yard OR exercise pen will be required. Please, no large dogs or small children.
Please contact us for more information or if you would like Lady's "Application For Adoption". Lady is not perfect, but she deserves a "forever more" family in a loving home after all the neglect and abuse she's been threw...
We would be very open to adopting "Lady" and "Phoenix" together as they came from the same puppy mill and do get along just fine as a pair.
MORE PICTURES OF LADY....
As you can see, she IS very good on looking the same for each picture. If you look hard, there is a smile there...
Phoenix is a cream Toy Poodle who is 8 1/2" tall and 8.5 pounds and about 5 years old. She is also the small, short leg, long body (old style) and short muzzled Poodle. Phoenix comes to us from a Southern Missouri puppy mill and is learning all about life in a home with a family! Such a sweet and loving little girl! She is very easy going, SUPER quiet, mellow, follows me around and loves being part of a quiet family.
She will come to me when I call her and wants to be held and loved so very much! Leash training has begun.
Phoenix has been Vet checked, spayed, teeth cleaned, shots are up to date, wormed, micro-chipped, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative. Phoenix lost her litter of puppies when she was spayed before she arrived here. She is very nurturing and patient with a most demanding Poodle puppy we have. Phoenix also had some mammary tumors, but they have been removed and she is doing just fine. Phoenix will require a fenced yard as she will easily climb out of our exercise pen. She is very good walking on a leash with a harness. Please, no large dogs or small children.
Also included in her $250.00 adoption fee is a kennel, 1 month supply of dog food, a leash and collar, a new soft bed, various toys and information about puppy mill dogs to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward. Please contact us for more information or if you would like Phoenix's "Application For Adoption". Like Lady, Phoenix is not perfect, but she deserves
a "forever more" family in a loving home after all the neglect and
abuse she's been threw... Below, "Phoenix" really wants to be a part of YOUR family.... Pet me! PET ME!! as she hides under our Miniature Poodle, Salsa.
"REBA" AKC: "PICKETS REASON TO DREAM" has been retired from our breeding program and is now available for adoption. Reba is from our original lines of 20 years ago. She is a black "oversized" Toy Poodle at 10 pounds, 12" tall and was born July 27, 2003. As part of our breeding program, Reba had a lot of testing done. She produced only 4 litters of puppies, non of which ever became "Show" quality.
Reba is an extremely loving, gentle, easy going, quiet Poodle. She is the first one to greet you at our door and will always find a lap to sit in. She has been a part of our family all her life, deeply loved and well taken care of. She will need to sleep in bed with you as she has been doing with us! This perfect Poodle is looking for a family who will continue to spoil her daily with love and attention. Please, no large dogs or small children. She has recently Vet checked, spayed, teeth cleaned, shots are up to date, wormed, micro-chipped, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative. NOTICE: Reba is and has always been in perfect health. Recent testing showed her thyroid level is low which caused her to lose some of her hair. I am sorry to say that there is no answer on "why" this happened. It came on so suddenly! Reba has been placed on a low dosage of the inexpensive drug called Thyroxine (0.1mg) and will be on it for the rest of her life. This drug will cost less than $8.00 a month. Reba's adoption fee of $300.00 helps pay for only SOME of her Vet expenses. Her adoption fee also includes a new bed, leash, collar, some toys, her kennel, along with a month supply of dog food and lots of Poodle information to help get your adoption started off on the right paw forward. We will also include a supply of her thyroid medication, Thyroxin. Please contact me if you would like more information about Reba or if you would like her "Application For Adoption".

Adoption Information
We will require an "Application For Adoption" to be filled out along with 3 references; one from your Vet. A visit to Picket Fence Poodles so you can visit with us and the Poodle up for adoption takes place after we contact your references. Because we occasionally do home visits both before and after the adoption, we do NOT adopt to homes outside a ONE DAYS DRIVE (round trip) from here. However, in certain conditions, we have made exceptions to this policy. ADULT POODLES AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION FROM Picket Fence Poodle Rescue INCLUDE:
We want your poodle "Adoption" to work!! If it doesn't work or for ANY REASON or for NO REASON you don't want the Poodle, we want the Poodle returned to us. Our poodles are placed in good, loving homes, like yours, with the intention that they will receive the love and care that all God's creations were intended to receive. We hope you understand that these poodles come to your home for the final day's of their lives: A "FOREVER MORE HOME!"
