Puppies Available

Updated: 07/29/2010

"LOLA", a creamy white female Toy Poodle puppy, who was born on December 5, 2009, is now available for adoption.

"Lola's" mother is also our AKC Ch Claydon's Southern Rose called "Honey" and the sire is our AKC Ch Alma Ridge Winter Storm; "Journey".

This puppy is of quality lines and has quickly displayed the quality, temperament, outgoing disposition, personality and intelligence Toy Poodles are known for.

Yes, whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!  She maybe delicate and refine, but a real spit fire and the first one to cause trouble.

Very much a show girl and perfect in every way. However due to her teeth, and small size we are sadly not going to show or breed her.

She is about 8" tall and weighs 3.5 pounds. Please, no small children or large dogs.

Lola's adoption fee of $750.00 includes her kennel, new toys a bag of dog food and lots of information about Poodles.

She has been Vet checked, spayed, teeth cleaned, puppy teeth have been removed, micro-chipped, wormed, shots up to date (including rabies) and is waiting to have fun with you!

ADOPTION PENDING ON This creamy white male Toy Poodle puppy, who was born on May 27, 2010, is available for adoption.

The mother is our AKC Ch Claydon's Southern Rose called "Honey" and the sire is our AKC Ch Alma Ridge Winter Storm; "Journey".

This puppy is of quality lines and has already displayed the quality, temperament, disposition and intelligence a Toy Poodle is known for.
However, he will be to small and not of "show" quality for us to keep.

He is very loving, gentle and easy going.  He enjoys playing with all our other Poodles who also enjoy him!

He is an "only Puppy" so he has received lots of love, attention and quality time with his mother and our family.

He will be Vet checked, wormed, micro chipped and up to date with his shots (age appropriate).

His $550.00 adoption fee also includes a kennel, some new toys, a bag of dog food,  Please contact us if you would like more information about this puppy or his "Application For Adoption".

This is going to be a very SMALL Toy Poodle.  At 7 weeks, he weighs 1 pound 10 ounces. He is being sold as a "pet". A spay/neuter contract will be required and enforced.

Adult Poodles Available

Updated: 07/29/2010

"KATIE AND PATTY" are "blue" oversized Toy Poodle sisters!  Katie is 12" from the floor to her shoulders and weighs 7.70 pounds while her sister Pattie is 11" and 6.75 pounds.  They belonged to a senior lady who has pampered and loved these special girls all their life (born 02/05/2001).  They have been well taken care of and we have all of their medical records.

Sadly, their owner has moved into a nursing home. Family members are also unable to care for the girls, so they have come to Picket Fence Poodle Rescue in need of a new "forever more" family.  (Thank you, Mike!)

Katie and Patty are NOT "rescue" poodles, but rather "rehome" poodles.

As pictured below, Katie on the left - Patty on the right the night they arrived.

Pictured below is "Katie".  She was shaved before arriving at Picket Fence Poodle Rescue.  However, her hair will quickly grow back!  Just think. She doesn't need a hair cut for a long time now!

Katie is the quiet, easy going, very loving and more reserved Poodle.  I know she misses her mom and is very sad.  With her soft and gentle personality, she is so hurt.  She is waiting for her owner who is never going to return for her.....

However, she is one very smart Poodle that will quickly adjust to a new loving family as that is what her broken heart is looking for.  Katie is in very good health with almost all of her teeth too!

She is very active and dances in delight when I come home from work.

Katie will jump up and sit on the couch or your lap

and Katie LOVES to go for walks. She is waiting for you!

O.K.  Not the best picture, but do you see the smile of hope on Katie's face?
Patty is sitting right behind her.
Only a few days with us and they are quickly adjusting!

Patty (pictured below) is also in very good health, but she has a luxating patella which has caused her to walk with a limp.  She is not in pain, will go up and down steps, jumps onto furniture and into my lap with no problems!

Patty is also very active, enjoys playing with all our Poodles and going for a walk!

Isn't she CUTE??  I just got carried away taking her picture...

We do prefer that these girls be adopted together.  They have been together all their life and we would like to see that continue for them.  Their adoption fee of $400.00 (for both) will include new beds,  leashes, collars, some toys, a month supply of dog food, and lots of Poodle information to help get your adoption started off on the right paw forward.  They also have 3 kennels; 2 for them to sleep separately and 1 large wire kennel for them to be together in.

They have been Vet checked, a blood panel work up has been done (all normal), wormed, all shots are up to date, micro chipped, teeth cleaned, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative.

Again, these girls have been well taken care of all their life with routine Vet visits and grooming.  WE HAVE ALL THEIR MEDICAL RECORDS!

Both these girls are extremely sweet, loving, gentle and quiet who are in need a "forever more" home for what-ever time they have left.

ADOPTION PENDING ON "LaBREE"

LaBree was born on January 28, 2007 and comes from quality AKC Champion lines.  He was sold as a "show" quality Toy Poodle to a family I know.

By 9 months of age, LaBree become to big for the show circuit and was to be returned back to the Breeder.  However, the Breeder became ill and was no longer breeding Poodles. She did not want to take the Poodle back.

AKC papers are not available for this Poodle, but we trust the information given to us about his back ground and quality breeding as being the truth.

LaBree's owner then sold him to a couple of wonderful and loving senior sisters where he has been deeply loved, spoiled and well taken care of.  We do have all his Vet records.

His senior owners have failing health and already have to many Poodles.  Because LaBree is their youngest Poodle, they have sadly asked us to help find their precious little boy a new family.

This is NOT a "rescue" but a "rehome" Poodle.

As you can see, LaBree is a most beautiful, quality plus, creamy white Poodle.

LaBree has been spoiled while being able to do whatever he wanted to do.  So, we have had a few "Go to Jesus meetings" with him.

With positive and firm enforcement, he has quickly learned what we expect from an intelligent Poodle that he is.  He is VERY food motivated and will do just about all that we ask of him.

LaBree is an extremely loving and gentle Poodle with a soft and easy going disposition.  He thrives on love, attention and is willing follow you to the ends of the earth.

This three year old is considered to be an "oversized Toy Poodle". He is about 11.5" tall and weighs a healthy 10 pounds.  Probably could use more walks to lose a pound. He LOVES to go for a walk!

He has been around other Poodles all his life and gets along just fine with all dogs and children.

LaBree has been Vet checked, neutered, micro chipped, wormed, shots are up to date, teeth cleaned,  heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative.

His adoption fee of $350.00 will include a new bed, leash, collar, his kennel, some toys, a month supply of dog food, and lots of Poodle information to help get your adoption started off on the right paw forward.

Oh oh...LeBree has found his way onto our bed!

Well, that's O.K. by us.  But if it's not acceptable by you, you can teach him what the rule is at your home.

ADOPTION PENDING ON "SHELBY".  This is a 2 year old (August 9, 2007) creamy white, extremely friendly and loving, oversized male Toy Poodle who is 12" tall and about 8 pounds.  He is NOT a rescue Poodle, but a rehome!

After Shelby's owner died, he was being cared for by the adult children.  Sadly, during these difficult times, they have been unable to properly care for Shelby.  Now that they have lost their home and will be living at a shelter in downtown Minneapolis, Shelby has come to us.  Thank you, Nancy!

Pictured below is Shelby before I started grooming him

ALMOST DONE, SHELBY!

AND BELOW IS THE FINISHED SHELBY!  ISN'T HE CUTE?

"SHELBY" is one cute, happy-go-lucky, extremely intelligent Toy Poodle!  He comes when he's called, will do a "dance", enjoys going for a walk, will sit in your lap and will always make you smile with his antics and activity.

He knows all about being a cute, energetic Poodle and certainly will make the right family a perfect pet!  Pictured below, Shelby (who needs obedience) is helping me pick out a new collar and leash.

Shelby's adoption fee of $300.00 includes a new bed,  leash, collar, some toys, his kennel, a month supply of dog food, and lots of Poodle information to help get your adoption started off on the right paw forward.

He has been Vet checked, neutered, all shots have been given, wormed, teeth cleaned, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative.

Please contact us if you would like more information about this very special Toy Poodle or if you would like his "Application For Adoption".

Every dog must have a soul
Somewhere deep inside
Where all his hurts and grievances
Are buried with his pride.
Where he decides the good and bad,
The wrong way from the right,
And where his judgment is
Carefully hidden from our sight.

A dog must have a secret place
Where thought abides,
A sort of close acquaintance that
He trusts in and confides.
And when accused unjustly for Himself
He cannot speak,
Rebuked, He finds within his soul
The comfort he must seek.

He'll Love, tho' he is unloved,
And he'll serve tho' badly used,
And one kind word will wipe away
The times when he's abused.
Although his heart may break in two
His love will still be whole,
Because God gave to every dog
An understanding Soul!

A free DVD put out by Animal Planet called:  "Training Your Dog" is given to each dog adopted from us.
