Puppies Available

Updated: 05/09/2008

Yes. He's still available for adoption.  One soft and easy puppy with no home...

Our silver Toy Poodle, "Pickets Lady from Hollywood", gave birth to three health puppies on Friday, January 4th!  Sire to this litter is AKC Ch "Swag's Curious George"
Here is a link to the five generation pedigree:
http://www.poodlepedigree.com/fivegen.asp?ID=360540

We are small and raise our Poodles in a home, family environment with lots of love and attention!

Here the puppies are in our kitchen, (next to our birds) getting lots of attention from the other poodles while being able to see outside.

While we breed for "Show" quality, male Toy Poodles must be close to perfect for us to keep.

We still have one black, male puppy available for adoption (pictured left).  He has been Vet checked, up to date on his shots and worming, micro-chipped, a month supply of dog food andcomes with some special toys and a brand new soft bed!  He is "puppy pad / newspaper" trained!

A neuter contract will be required with the $500.00 adoption fee.  AKC papers and a $50.00 rebate is available after neutering.  Minnesota puppy law health guarantee also comes with this puppy.

This is most beautiful, sociable, friendly, sweet Toy Poodle and comes with personality plus the intelligence found in a quality Toy Poodle.

At this time (pictured left) he is 9" tall and 6 pounds.

As an adult, he will be about 7 pounds, around 11" tall and considered an "oversized" Toy Poodles (as both his parents are Toys), which is a NICE sized (strong, study and easy to love) Poodle!

7 weeks (right)  and at 8weeks (below)

One of our grand-children enjoying snuggle time with this puppy at 12 weeks old.  This is a very gentle, soft, quiet and loving little boy.....

If black isn't your choice of color, how about creamy white?  These two most beautiful, soft creamy white, male Toy Poodles are also available for adoption!!

The sire to this liter is: "CH Caprices's Good Time Charlie".
The mother of this litter is "Zamora's Catch Me If You Can" who is owned by a good friend of mine.
Here is a link to their pedigree:
http://www.poodlepedigree.com/fivegen.asp?ID=362066

These are most excellent quality and championship lines with WONDERFUL personalities and dispositions!

The smaller puppy is pictured above and left will be an "oversized Toy Poodle" (smaller than a Miniature, but larger than a Toy.

Born on January 8, 2008, these two boys have become "oversized" and are not qualified to be shown, but will make excellent pets for the right family.  Did you notice their "clean face"!?  Both boys come with the personality plus, are very sociable and extremely loving which quality Toy Poodles are known for!  Did I tell you these are really nice puppies?!!

They have been raised in a family, home environment.  They are deeply loved, socialized and well cared for.  They are puppy pad / newspaper trained and come to you Vet checked, are up to date on shots and worming, micro-chipped, come with their own kennel and dog bed, a month supply of dog food and some special toys!

The larger puppy is pictured to the right and below.  At full grown, this puppy WILL be about the size of a "Miniature Poodle".

A neuter contract will be required with the $450.00 adoption fee.  AKC papers and a $50.00 rebate is available after neutering.  Minnesota puppy law health guarantee also comes with these puppies.

We are assisting is the adoption of these very cute puppies and will be accepting "Applications for Adoptions".

Please contact me if you have any questions. I would be happy to help you or refer you onto the owner.  The boys are still living with their family, so arrangements will be made for you to meet with the owner, these puppies and the mother of this litter at our home during the adoption.

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION..... "PERRY" who is a most adorable 5 month old Toy Poodle puppy who was born November 1, 2007.

This is a most beautiful, quality, ice white, little boy with an excellent AKC Toy Poodle pedigree who comes to us from a breeder in Wisconsin.   He is about 10" tall now and 4 1/2 pounds.

Perry is an extremely sweet, gentle, loving and personality plus little boy.  Can't you just see it in his face?  He just LOVES to give lots of kisses!

He is also a very active, sociable, personality PLUS and a playful toy poodle who enjoys running around and playing with all our other Toy Poodles.  He keeps up with everyone!   Did I tell you this was an ACTIVE little boy?

However, Perry is crippled BUT he doesn't need crutches or a wheel chair!  This boy can run!  See pictures below!

Perry was born with structurally unsound legs and was unable to walk.  Perry is a smart and strong little boy that had an extreme desire to walk and run and enjoy life.  His will was so strong that his legs and knees formed muscles which gave him the ability to walk.

A miracle?  Perhaps you will believe it is when you see him run (see below pictures of him playing with "Parlay").

Now this little boy is in great need of a loving "forever more" home with a gentle family, but Perry is wanting to play and would love to have another Poodle or small dog to play with.

He CAN NOT be spoiled! He must be allowed to run and be active like any normal Poodle puppy would be.  Perry would be just fine all by himself, but be sure to have lots of toys!
Please, NO small children, cats or large dogs.

Perry has been Vet checked, worm, shots up to date (including Rabies) micro chipped, neutered, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative.

To the right family, his adoption fee is $200.00 which includes ALL his vet work, a kennel, a month supply of dog food, leash, collar, some toys and lots of information on dealing with a new Poodle.  AKC papers are NOT included.

PLEASE E-MAIL US if you have any questions or if you would like his "Application For Adoption".  References will be contacted and then an appointment will be set-up for the adoption.  We want our adoptions to work!

Adult Poodles Available

Updated: 05/09/2008

"Parlay" is a 1 year old (January 4, 2007), 11" tall (measured floor to shoulder) 5.7 pounds, black Toy Poodle.  Her AKC registered name is "Pickets Where the Heart Is".  She was sired by "Ch. Hosanna Traveling Man" and mom is our very own, "Ch Pickets American Dream".  A wonderful pedigree of many top quality Toy Poodles.

Pictured right as a younger puppy, Parlay was most beautiful with all the right qualities we like to see in our show and breeding Poodles.  However, as time went by, Parley developed certain "faults" that made her ineligible to be a show Poodle.

AKC Standards of Perfection are very clear on the requirements of a "Show" Poodle.  Picket Fence Poodles is proud to produce these qualities, but it is very hard to do and not every puppy we produce goes onto the "Show".

Now, a recent evaluation has determined that Parlay should not be bred either as it will take us years to improve on the fault qualities she has.

THIS DOES NOT MAKE HER A BAD POODLE!!  This only makes her a great quality "pet" Poodle for you as she is no longer (sadly and tearfully) a "Show" or "Breeding" quality Toy Poodle for us.
Please understand that this difficult for us to do, but out of love, we need to let go.

Parlay has passed "Basic Obedience" class and would make an excellent candidate for someone wishing to continue in that area.  She would also make a great agility Poodle as she has a great desire to run, jump and please.  She is in perfect health and comes with the Minnesota Puppy Law guarantee as she is part of our breeding lines.

All her life, this little girl has been with her mom and a big part of our family life.  She is extremely loving, attached to me and will listen to my commends.  She is reserved about new people and situations, but quickly adjusts.

She is housetrained, loves to go for walks, rides in the car and wants to be a part of a family life.   She gets along with ALL our Poodles and actively plays with everyone one of them.   She is also pictured playing with "Perry" above.  Absolutely, NO CHILDREN.

This is simply a wonderful, top quality, Champion shire Toy Poodle!  To the right family, Parley's $600.00 adoption fee includes all her vet work, including her spay, teeth cleaning, micro chip, shots and worming up to date, heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative, her kennel, a leash, collar, a month of dog food and information about Poodles.

Please e-mail me if you have any questions or would like her "Application for adoption".

"NIKKI"  has been with us for almost a year now and is once again, up for adoption. She still is an extremely gentle Poodle still waiting for her "forever more" family.

Nikki is a most BEAUTIFUL silver Toy Poodle who was born August 09, 1998. Can you tell I just LOVE silvers?? This wonderful Poodle is just 10" tall and 7 pounds.

We have found that this is most certainly (without any doubt) a very high quality, well bred Toy Poodle.  Sadly, Nikki comes to us from the same Puppy mill that many other of our rescue Poodles have come from.

There are a lot of reasons that this wonderful Poodle (and many like her) end up at Puppy mills, but we would like to highlight the fact that she is with us now and in need of a family to love and take care of her in her final years.

Nikki is an extremely loving (Velcro Poodle) with that very gentle, quiet and easy going attitude. She is most eager to please, quick to learn, willing to work for the RIGHT food but mostly enjoys a lap to sit in.
She is just fine with all our other Poodles and YES!.... Nikki has been keeping our old, deaf (15 year old) "Tonya" company.   We know that Tonya will not make it threw another winter.  So, in love, we need to find help Nikki and give her a home of her own. She can then rest her weary bones with her very own "forever family".

We worked on leash training her but that is not going to happen. Pictured right, Nikki came to us with a chain collar (as used in the mills), so a fenced yard or exercise pen will be required.
With a harness, she will be able to go for a little walk as she also has a "Grade 3 to 4" Luxating Patella.
Nikki has no problem moving around and goes up and down steps just fine. However, she can favor the leg at times.

Oh dear... Nikki has now moved into our bed, so you are going have to accept a Poodle in bed with you at night if you're interested in this fur baby.

What a wonderful BEAUTIFUL silver Poodle for the right family. PLEASE, no small children.

This very special Poodle has been Vet checked, micro chipped, spayed, wormed, Brucellosis tested negative, Heartworm tested negative and placed on a preventative with all shots up to date and teeth cleaned.

Her $200.00 adoption fee pays only for some of her Vet expenses. We are also including 1 month supply of food, a new soft bed and some special toys.

Please e-mail us for more information or if you would like Nikki's "Application for Adoption".
