Note from Gail:

2011 was Picket Fence Poodle Rescue’s biggest and busiest year ever!

We adopted out close to 40 Poodles, assisted needy families by paying for their dogs to be spayed/neutered and helped many more families find homes for their Poodles who were sadly given-up due to a foreclosure.

Thanks to you, Picket Fence Poodle Rescue is also going into 2012 healthy, strong and secure!

However, due to the lack of work, I have lost my office job here in Minneapolis.  While I normally work the tax season (January 1st to April 30th) as a part-time Tax Accountant with H & R Block in Western Minnesota (where we use to farm), this year I have accept a full-time (plus) position with them.

Because I will be working long hours and gone so far from home, I have rented an apartment in Western Minnesota only to return home a few times.

I am sorry to announce that we will not be accepting any Poodles until I return in May.

I would like to express my gratitude to all of YOU, along with my friends and caring family for your positive attitude, support and understanding while I do what needs to be done for Mike and I survive these difficult times.

Thank you.
Gail of Picket Fence Poodle Rescue

Adult Poodles Available

Updated: 01/09/2012

Before I leave, I have had the priveledge of taking care of this Toy Poodle named  "LUCY".

She is a 1 year old AKC finished Champion who is perfect in every way, including her love for life and a great reminder to me that no matter what, LOOK FOR THE JOY in everything life offers!

Lucy just loves to play, gets along just fine with other dogs and has been a perfect Poodle in keeping her kennel our home clean.

However, Lucy is extremely tiny!  She is only 8" tall and weighs just 4 pounds.  She is to small to breed and her owner has allowed me to spay her and put her up for adoption TO THE RIGHT FAMILY!

Yes, this is a rare and wonderful opportunity for you to own a Toy Poodle who (I guarantee) will bring you much joy too!  Any yes, I will cry when I have to leave her...

Please, NO large dogs or small children for this tiny squirt!

Her $850.00 adoption fee includes her spay, shots are up to date, teeth cleaned, micro chipped, wormed and information to help your adoption work.

For more information about "LUCY", please contact Teri at:  swag04@tds.net   OR call her at 763-295-0627.

NOTICE FROM GAIL:  I know this is NOT a Poodle, but "Roy" is still available for adoption and is waiting for his "forever more" family.

His name is "Atta Boy Roy".  He is a 3 year old AKC, long haired Chihuahua.  His owner is going to college and working, so she cannot give Roy the attention he needs.

Roy is already neutered and likes to play with cats, other small dogs and toys.  This is a VERY small Chihuahua at only 8" tall and 4 1/2 pounds.  Please, NO small children or large dogs.

This Chihuahua is very sweet, not a mean bone in his body, but it will take a little bit for him to warm up to you; then you are his person.  What a great and very quiet little boy!

His adoption fee has been reduced to $500.00... but I'm sure I could get it reduced even more!   Please only inquire if you are serious.

FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS CHIHUAHUA, PLEASE CONTACT TERI AT:  swag04@tds.net
OR call her at 763-295-0627.
Tell her Gail sent you.

Waiter LOVES to play,
even if it means playing with a c-a-t!

We had a lot to be thankful for in 2011 - including Purina and Chef Michael's brand food for dogs.

Picket Fence Poodle Rescue was one of more than 400 animal welfare organizations that received a large donation of Chef Michael's - the brand donated more than 340,000 lbs. of dog food to help our four-legged friends.

Look for Chef Michael's the next time you're buying dog food and support those who support us.

Here's looking forward to 2012!

Adoption Information

MoniqueprettyPicket Fence Poodles adoption fee start at $200.00 and goes up from there.  This helps pay for SOME of our expenses!  The fee is based on the poodles age, size and needs.

We will require an "Application For Adoption"  to be filled out along with 3 references; one from your Vet.

A visit to Picket Fence Poodles so you can visit with us and the Poodle up for adoption takes place after we contact your references.

Because we occasionally do home visits both before and after the adoption, we do NOT adopt to homes outside a ONE DAYS DRIVE (round trip) from here.  However, in certain conditions, we have made exceptions to this policy.

ADULT POODLES AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION FROM Picket Fence Poodle Rescue INCLUDE:

  • A Veterinarian Check
  • All Poodles ARE neutered or spayed, which increases your dogs chances of leading a longer, healthier and happier life with you.
  • Up to date on shots.
  • Teeth Cleaned
  • Wormed
  • Lymes, Heart worm and Ehrlichia tested AND placed on a preventative.
  • "Home Again" micro chipped AND registered.
  • Collar (or harness) and leash
  • One month supply of dog food
  • A special cute toy (or two)
  • A kennel
  • Bathed and professionally groomed!

If there are any health issues or problems, you will be instructed on how to deal with the problems.

We want your poodle "Adoption" to work!! If it doesn't work or for ANY REASON or for NO REASON you don't want the Poodle, we want the Poodle returned to us.

Our poodles are placed in good, loving homes, like yours, with the intention that they will receive the love and care that all God's creations were intended to receive. We hope you understand that these poodles come to your home for the final day's of their lives: A "FOREVER MORE HOME!"

If you are interested in any of the puppies or dogs we offer, or if you have any questions, please e-mail us at:  GAIL at Picket Fence Poodles
